Ease of Doing Business:

Enabling a conducive business environment that nurtures growth opportunities and financial investments is a pre-requisite to build an Inclusive and Developed Nation. The government has unfolded a slew of progressive policy steps aimed at improving the country’s business environment. These include taxation reforms, merging multiple identification numbers into a single form (SPICe) for company incorporation, insolvency and bankruptcy code among others. India jumped 79 positions from 142nd (2014) to 63rd (2019) in 'World Bank's Ease of Doing Business Ranking 2020’. PWIF seeks to assist the government in plugging the loopholes in design and implementation of policy and suggest solutions to strengthen efforts in weaker domains.
