Despite a record production of major agricultural produce and rise in exports, India’s farm sector is still dogged by challenges. Traditionally, policies in the Indian agriculture sector have focused on productivity and subsidies, though poverty is an area of concern. This can be resolved by offering farmers the freedom to grow, what they want and sell to whoever they wish to indicate research and public discussions. PWIF aims to aid effective policy design solutions for agricultural reforms, specifically in management of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and its convergence with technology.
